Walking Down The Halbeath Road
Back in March, a group of Rovers fans walked from Starks Park to New Bayview to raise funds for the club’s Youth Development Initiative. That day, on our way to seeing the return of Marvin Andrews to the club and the victory that would kickstart our march to the title, we talked about doing another sponsored walk – but hopefully to East End Park rather than New Bayview!
With the first Rovers v Dunfermline league derby for 9 years only a couple of weeks away we’re going to make good on that promise. If you would like to join us in raising much-needed funds for the club, then download a sponsor form and pester your friends, family, workmates or even complete strangers into sponsoring you!
The route is approximately 17 miles, and for those who don’t fancy walking the whole distance we’ll be making a rest stop in Aberdour (almost halfway) in mid-morning before continuing along the Fife Coastal Path and then up the hill to Dunfermline.
To support the walkers – and the club – please sponsor us through this link. Thank you!
Where about in Aberdour are you making your rest stop or will you be passing by Inverkeithing. I live in Inverkeithing and i’m interested in joining in the walk.
Hi,
I plan to join the walk in Aberdour at the ‘gates’ on the main street. Towards the Dalgety Bay end.
The route goes to Hillend then up the hill and over the motorway to Dulloch….
If you are still interested in joining us let us know your Mobile number.

We’ll be in Aberdour at around 10.30 I would expect – bacon rolls at the baker’s on the High Street no doubt! We should be passing Dalgety Bay railway station at 11.30ish – join us for as much of the walk as you fancy Rebecca. If you email your mobile number to me (chairman@raithtrust.org.uk) I will send you a text when we’re on our way with more accurate estimates of our arrival times at each place.
Well done guys, great effort! Any idea how much money was raised?
