Members Meeting, 8th December – Club Ownership
At our recent AGM we shared plans for a series of informal members’ meetings, with the first to be held in late November. I’d like to firstly apologise for not meeting that timescale, and secondly extend an invitation to a *very* informal get-together before the Brechin game on Saturday, December 8th.
A few members of the Trust Board will be in the Novar Bar from 12.30pm to meet anyone who would like to come along and find out about the current structure of the companies associated with the football club (i.e. the football club itself, the holding company, New Raith Rovers, and West City) – this was the one of the hot topics when we asked for feedback several weeks ago. We’ll share our understanding about who owns what, what this means for the Trust, and try to debunk some of the myths that surround this somewhat confusing set of facts.
Space at the Novar is limited before Rovers matches, so this is very much a “pint and a chat” type of event – if you’re there early you’ll have a better chance of getting a seat! We’ve not booked space there as this will be a very informal event.
We are planning a series of follow-on events throughout 2008 to explore other topics, so keep your suggestions coming.
Finally, if you know other Trust members who might be interested in coming along but aren’t in the habit of visiting the website, please pass on this information.
