Following the unexpected departure of Danny Smith as chairman of Raith Rovers the void in the boardroom has now been filled. Mario Caira has purchased Danny Smith’s shareholding and appointed Turnbull Hutton as interim chairman until Mario is possibly in a position to take on this role later in the year.

In response to this news The Raith Trust organised a public meeting in the Philp Hall on Saturday 10th January 2004 to gauge the opinion of the support and gather questions which it was anticipated to put to the board.

The football club board invited representatives of the trust, supporters club and Junior Rovers to a meeting at the ground on Thursday 15th January to discuss the way forward. Minutes of this meeting are currently being agreed for public distribution and these will be available shortly. Full details will appear on this site.
